There is blessing in giving, the bible says:
"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
We give through our tithes and offerings.

What does the word tithe mean?

The word tithe means “ten percent.”

When did tithing begin the in the Bible?

In Genesis, we find Abraham giving his tithe of his profit to priest Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:1-9 In Moses time, God established the tithing as part of the law. In the NT, we see that Jesus approved the Scribes and Pharisees as tithers, but he rebuked them because they had forgotten their compassion and their faith. Mathew 23:23

What is the purpose of tithing?

It is the way we support this church. We do not support it through raffles, talents or any other method to collect funds. We sustain this church through the members who give ten percent of what they earn. Now, nobody has to go to find it or to verify it, nobody is going to go knock on your door and is going to say to you: “You are behind three months. Please make sure that you get on track! “ That is between you and God. We are only going to teach you what the Bible says, this will be a matter between you and God. It is the responsibility of the people who commit themselves to become members here to give and to support the work of the church.

What is the result of tithing?

God will bless you! Malachi 3:10 says: “Test me in this says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” This is the only place in the Bible where God makes a promise to humanity and then he reinforces it by saying, “Test me.”

What is the difference between the tithes and the offerings?

The tithe is the ten percent of the income that we set apart and we give in obedience to the Lord. A special offering does not replace out tithing to the Lord. Offering is “what ever God puts in your heart” in thanksgiving for the blessings that God has given you or as a seed that we want to plant intentionally with a harvest in mind. Missions Offering On the offering envelopes and the online giving page you will find a category for Missions. The entire giving to this category goes to support our missionaries sent by the national church to serve in different parts of the world. We encourage you to make a monthly gift to this effort.
